Rocky Kanaga

Rocky Kanaga is a singer/songwriter from Bethany, Oklahoma. His musical journey began with playing open mic nights in the Oklahoma City area. Rocky met many great musicians along the way, including Garbriel Marshall of the Damn Quails, and Ryan Gray, in which they started doing shows under the name Sober Boaters. He later formed a band that took on his last name, Kanaga, and they released their self titled/self produced album in 2014. In 2016 after playing many local and regional shows in the Midwest, the band decided to go their separate ways. Rocky spent the years after the band’s departure playing many solo acoustic shows and learning to perfect his craft. Along that journey in the Summer of 2019, he finally knew the time was right. After writing over 30 original songs, he is now recording his first solo album with producer Steve Boaz of Breathing Rhythm Studio in Norman, Oklahoma. The album will feature guest musicians such as David Leach, and Isaac Stalling just to name a few. There is no official release date, but when the album is finished he plans on to tour with his fresh new sound.
